The picture comes not
from life, but life from
the picture and the picture
from the unconscious
so whence the fish?
From the chance
conjunction of curves and a vector
deriving red? Do you even see it?
I didn’t.
It could have been the
curve of a hip, the fender of
Mama’s Jaguar, but
something swam from the
dark water of a dream
and came up gasping on its bed.
